brain itches Theme by Adam Holwerda.
He that is not a son of Peace is not a son of God. All other sins destroy the Church consequentially; but Division and Separation demolish it directly… Richard Baxter

A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, by Steve Massey.

What a night!
We had a blast at Otter Creek’s “Daddy-Daughter Dance.” Here’s a few of my thoughts: Kids cannot live on cake alone (though they might want to), some dads were born with mad dance skillz - some with, er, Napoleon Dynamite type skillz, some dads spent the whole night ‘bustin a move’ on the dance floor - some spent the whole night checking emails on their blackberries - some spent the whole night with a look of horror on their faces - but all of the young princesses had a look of pure joy and happiness all night. Finally, I had originally hoped for it to be a lifetime before I heard “Butterfly Kisses” again, but alas…my hope was in vain, they played that sucker twice! :)
Oh, who let the dogs out?

Tonight’s the night!
I have the privilege of taking a sweet young lady to her first Daddy-Daughter Dance. For that matter, it’s a first for me too…as I was never a daughter, nor am I a daddy yet. Anyhow, I’m stoked…and nervous. I’m praying I will give her but a small glimpse of her heavenly Father in the midst of uncertainty.
Pray with me too!

But the dignity of human life is unbreakably linked to the existence of the personal-infinite God. It is because there is a personal-infinite God who has made men and women in His own image that they have a unique dignity of life as human beings. Human life then is filled with dignity, and the state and humanistically oriented law have no right and no authority to take human life arbitrarily in the way it is being taken. Francis Schaeffer

Psalm 66, Harriett Auber, 1829…

O all ye lands, rejoice in God,
Sing praises to His name;
Let the whole earth, with one accord,
His wondrous acts proclaim.

And let His faithful servants tell,
How by redeeming love,
Their souls are saved from death and hell,
To share the joys above.

Tell how the Holy Spirit’s grace
Forbids their feet to slide;
And, as they run the Christian race,
Vouchsafes to be their guide.

Sing, sing, ye saints, and shout for joy,
Ye ransom’d of the Lord;
Be grateful praise your sweet employ,
His presence your reward.
